Koen Baeten is doctor in philosophy and master in family and sexological sciences.

He is a lecturer in Family Studies and he contributed to the seminar and publication ‘Fathers, sons and Islam: migrating between Oedipus & Abraham’.

His doctorate is titled ‘Recognition as a bridge between citizen and politics? On the interpretation and applicability of A. Honneths theory of love, respect and appreciation with reference to the relationship between citizens and politics.’
